The Workflow

How DraftTime Works for Cheer

From registration through results — the full Cheer operating cycle on one platform.

  1. 01

    Register & Organize

Seasons for full-year or competition programs, custom questions for prior experience and team interests, with medical notes and waivers collected at signup.

  2. 02

    Assess at Stations

Run skills assessments with rating scales for tumbling, stunting, jumps and motions — clinicians score on any device, and blind scoring keeps results independent.

  3. 03

    Score & Rank

Weighted rating scales reflect what your gym values; percentile rankings and combined scores compare the full assessment pool, with results emailed to families.

  4. 04

    Track Development

Every athlete's ratings trend over time on a permanent profile, with AI development plans turning assessment results into focused skill work.

Performance Lab

Cheer Performance Lab Templates

A typical DraftTime cheer assessment template (rating-based):

MetricMeasured AsNotes
Standing Tumblingrating1–10 scale
Running Tumblingrating1–10 scale
Stunting (base / flyer / backspot)ratingPosition-specific
Jumpsrating1–10 scale
Motion Techniquerating1–10 scale
Dance & Performancerating1–10 scale
Flexibilityrating1–10 scale

Build any of these with DraftTime's Performance Lab template builder — tryout, practice, game and camp templates with custom metric types, multiple attempts, position-specific scoring and 1–5, 1–10 or 1–100 scales. Timed drills can run on the embedded speed timer.

Event Day

Check-In, Stations & Live Operations

The same event engine runs Performance Lab sessions, tryouts, camps, clinics and meets.

Event Day & Check-In

Every Cheer event runs on the same operational engine. Families register online and each registration receives its own check-in QR code. On event day, staff scan athletes in at the gate with optional photo capture, add walk-ups on site, and track every station, evaluator and athlete in real time from Mission Control.

Scoring Workflow

Evaluators score from any device at their station, and blind scoring keeps results hidden until submission so each judge works independently. A head evaluator can review and override with a recorded reason. Weighted metrics and position-specific scoring let your Cheer staff emphasize exactly what matters for each position group.

Rankings & Results

Percentile rankings and combined scores compare the full assessment pool, live leaderboards update during assessments, and automated result emails reach every family.
